Message from YSG Chairman (June 2010)
Up to half of my term as the Chairman of Young Surveyors Group, I would like to thank all our committee members for their contributions. We have been doing well over the last six months although there are rooms for improvement. I am proud to have a group of experienced and hard working committees and surely without them, we could not have so much fun and contribution to young members' interests.

One-day Seminar on Contract Management 2010

The One-day Seminar on Contract Management 2010 was successfully held on 6th February 2010 with nearly 250 participants stuffed up the Chiang Chen Studio Theatre of The Polytechnic University.

Bond, Indemnity, Guarantee and Warranty

Thank you Mr. K K Cheung, partner of Construction and Arbitration Practice Group, Deacons Hong Kong for giving us a seminar on “Bond, Indemnity, Guarantee and Warranty” on 18 May 2009. The seminar was a successful one which attracted a full house.

The CPD event “Introduction to BEAM and its applications in practice”, which was jointly organized by YSG and BEAM Society, was successfully held on 9 June 2009. Mr. David Yau, the Exco member of BEAM Society, presented the seminar and introduced the BEAM standard and BEAM certification to our members.

The One-day Seminar on Contract Management 2009 was held on 31st January 2009 at the Chiang Chen Studio Theatre, the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. This seminar was jointly organized by Young Surveyors Group (YSG) of HKIS together with other young professionals from the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb), the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE), the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE), and the Law Society of Hong Kong.
