讲师	:	Mr. Kwok Kit Cheung Partner, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Deacons KK is a fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors and Royal Institution of Surveyors. He acted for developers, contractors and subcontractors in major construction dispute resolution. KK also has wide experiences in handling cross-border disputes, particularly those between Hong Kong and Mainland China. He acted for both local and overseas clients in arbitrations and litigation in Hong Kong and various parts of Mainland China. He is a member of the panels of the arbitrators in the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre and China International Economic and Trade Commission and other arbitration bodies in PRC. He has been appointed as arbitrator and mediator in resolving commercial and construction disputes from time to time. Ms. Genevieve Lam Associate, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Deacons Genevieve practises in construction law. Over the years of her practice, she has been involved in a number of litigation and arbitration of construction-related disputes, including claims arising from delay, variations and construction defects. She also advises on construction, consultancy and other related contracts.

详情	:	Practical and effective approach on resolving disputes amongst co-owners in multi-story buildings would be introduced at the event. Key issues at following aspects would be shared- common disputes between co-owners in multi-story buildings eg dispute related to common parts or area of a buildings / the non-payment of management fees; the manager's role in resolving building management dispute and how to handle disputes under the Building Management Ordinance; and an overview of resolving building management through mediation, adjudication, litigation and arbitration.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
