讲师	:	Ir Prof. Wong Yuk-lung & Ir Dr Jaime Yeung Ir Prof. Wong Yuk-lung, DipCE, MEng, PhD, FHKIE, RPE(BUD, FRE, MAT), RI(E), FHKISC, FHKCI, FHKICA Ir Prof. Wong has been an university academic for over twenty four years teaching/supervising students and conducting researches in the areas of concrete technology and repair, fire engineering, and earthquake engineering. Before he became an academic, he worked in Scott Wilson Kirkpatrick & Partners for five years. Prof. Wong is active in providing consultancy service in the investigation of concrete failure and the recommendations of concrete repair. He also involves in developing product certification schemes of construction materials. At present, Prof. Wong is a Professor of Chu Hai College of Higher Education, and a part-time lecturer of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. He is a Fellow of HKIE, Vice President of HKCI, Member of Technical Committee on the CoP for Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme (MBIS) of Buildings Department, Registered Inspector, Committee Member of HKIE Building Division and HKIE Training Committee, Member of Editorial Committee of HKIE Transaction, and HOKLAS Technical Assessor. Ir Dr Jaime Yeung has been working in the construction materials industry field for more than 25 years focusing on the product development in cementitious and polymer materials. He is also a solution provider for works relating to materials for new construction technologies with tailor made properties and performance, concrete repair, waterproofing, etc. He is currently the Honorary Secretary of the HKIE Materials Discipline Advisory Panel, Fellow and Executive Board Member of Hong Kong Concrete Institute, Fellow Member of Institute of Quarrying, Fellow Member of Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors, Member of the Technical Committee of the Hong Kong Code of Practice for Structural Use of Concrete, Member in the Advisory Board of Hong Kong Accreditation Scheme (HKAS) for Construction Materials, Member of the Departmental Advisory Committee of the Department of Physics & Materials Science of City University of Hong Kong.

详情	:	In this talk, Ir Prof. Wong will present common causes, investigation methods and interpolation of different modes of tile failure. Ir Dr Yeung will discuss methods and appropriate materials for tile repair, supplement with some cost indices.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
