讲师	:	Sr Phyllis So & Mr. Sholto Hanvey of Clyde & Co Phyllis So is a solicitor of fifteen years' experience and a professionally qualified quantity surveyor. Furthermore, she is also a chartered arbitrator, with experience in acting both as a mediator and an arbitrator. She has long experience of working in the construction industry in Hong Kong, Macau, China and the wider APAC region, and has special expertise in construction contract law and dispute resolution. Sholto Hanvey has recently qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales, and is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong. He read History at Cambridge University. Following law school, he worked in the Clyde & Co's Construction Group in London before coming to Hong Kong. He has experience in both contentious and transactional construction and project related matters.

详情	:	It looks inevitable that security of payment legislation will be introduced in Hong Kong in 2016 or 2017, and when it is implemented the system of adjudication will drastically alter the nature of dispute resolution where disputes arise during a construction project. In this session we aim to explain some of the processes of adjudication, in order to help prepare parties for the arrival of adjudication, to enable them to operate within the tight timeframes proposed, and to understand the wider implications of adjudication upon systems of certification, valuation, and project management.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
