详情	:	Studies conducted by the Hong Kong Construction Association conveys that the Steel Reinforcement Supply Chain in Hong Kong is “inefficient, outdated and behind regions like Singapore and Australia”. While at the same time, the Hong Kong’s Construction Industry Vision 2020 document (published in Jun 2012) identified the following issues: Steel supply chain is inefficient due to on-site testing requirement The procurement process is inefficient Safety at construction sites needs to improve Industry is not productive due to labour shortage and supply chain inefficiency Highly automated steel reinforcement prefabrication facilities with bulk sampling and testing model can greatly improve the efficiency of the current supply chain while safety and space utilization can also be greatly enhanced. In this talk, the speakers will introduce the new technology of off-site automated rebar processing and assembly facility in Hong Kong and its benefits ranging from safety, space utilization, process efficiency and just-in-time delivery. Members should understand how the steel supply chain will evolve into a safer, processing efficient and environmental friendly model.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
