讲师	:	Sr K B Kwok BSc MBA CTA FCA FCPA(Practising) MCIJ MCIOB MHKIS MRICS Visiting Fellow, School of Professional Education & Executive Development, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Kwok has recently authored Business Terms & Phrases for Surveyors, Engineers & Facilities Managers in Hong Kong under the endorsement of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors. He is an author as well as a contributor or a consultant for many other published titles in print worldwide. Over the past two decades, Kwok has served as an expert witness in the High Court, the District Court, tribunals, arbitrations and disciplinary proceedings. Kwok has recently been appointed as a visiting fellow in academia with scholarly interests in business, finance, forensics, valuation, journalism, sustainability and facilities management.

详情	:	Whether in commerce or in public practice, surveyors conduct valuation, asset appraisal, contract negotiation and property consulting as well as take charge of the overall supervision and daily operation of properties and built facilities. All these tasks and engagements require the abilities to understand basic terminologies, analyse observable data and apply business concepts relevant to the subject assets, properties and built facilities. Audits, ledgers, budgets, projections, final accounts, financial statements, and financial reporting standards are commonly cited amongst owners, clients, contractors, sub-contractors, managers, lawyers, regulators, end-users and other stakeholders in business and finance. Any misinterpretation of key terms and phrases causes embarrassment and costs money. This seminar will give an overview of how relevant concepts in business accounting and financial analysis can be applied in surveying in Hong Kong.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
