讲师	:	Sr T T Cheung, BSc(QS)(Hons), MSc, JD, FHKIS, FRICS, FCInstCES, FCECA RPS(QS), RCE(China), DIF, DRAd, Accredited Mediator TT was the past President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS), past Chairman of the Quantity Surveying Division of the HKIS, past Chairman of the Surveyors Registration Board, and past Chairman of the Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS). He is currently the World Chairman of the International Cost Engineering Council (ICEC), Standing Committee member of the China Engineering Cost Association (CECA) and Honorary Advisor of the Guangdong Province Engineering Cost Association. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Real Estate and Construction, University of Hong Kong and the Department of Building and Real Estate, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. TT has been instrumental to the development of the cost engineering profession in Mainland China. He has participated and witnessed the formation and growth of the cost engineering profession in Mainland China since 1995. Over the years, he gave lectures in various cities in Mainland China to assist the local cost engineers and government regulators on the roles, functions and works of QS, in particular the reform from standard price cost control mechanism to market price cost control mechanism. He was the HKIS President who signed the Reciprocity Agreement between HKIS and CECA in 2005 to open the door for HKIS QSs to enter the Mainland China market. He is also the key man in bringing CECA to the international QS platform of the PAQS and ICEC to facilitate the local cost engineers/students to exchange knowledge with counterparts of the world. TT has been council member of CECA for the last 16 years and was conferred an honorary “Special Contribution Award” by CECA in 2010 in recognition of his excellent contribution to the development of the cost engineering profession in Mainland China.

详情	:	In this talk, TT will share with participants his experience on the development of the cost engineering profession in Mainland China over the last 20 years and some major changes in recent years and where the profession will be heading towards in the future.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
