讲师	:	Sr Robert CHENG Sr Robert CHENG is a corporate BSD & PFM member of the HKIS. He is a Senior Building Surveyor of Existing Buildings Division 2 of Buildings Department and a Unit Head of a team of building surveyors providing services for owners and occupants of existing buildings in various areas of Sham Shui Po, Shek Kip Mei, Yau Yat Chuen, Cheung Sha Wan and Lai Chi Kok through enforcement of the Buildings Ordinance. Sr Robert CHENG is experienced in building control and surveying practices. He has been working in the Existing Buildings Division since 2015 and actively involved in the collapse incident at City University of Hong Kong.

详情	:	On 20 May 2016, the roof structure of a multi-purpose sports hall at the City University of Hong Kong collapsed. The Buildings Department carried out inspection immediately and arranged urgent stabilisation and site clearance works in parallel with an investigation into the incident. The Final Investigation Report was released on 31 May 2017. Our speaker will share with us in this talk the Final Investigation Report. The recently released “Introductory Guide on Greening in Buildings” will be briefly introduced.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
