讲师	:	林超英先生林超英先生現任香港中文大學地理與資源管理學系客座教授、香港政府環境運動委員會主席、香港鄉郊基金主席。林先生退休前擔任香港天文台台長，多次出任世界氣象組織各個工作組主席及項目顧問，他推動的全球氣象協作項目令發展中國家受惠，得到全球氣象同行尊敬，2010年獲推舉為英國皇家氣象學會榮譽會士。林先生的主要業餘興趣是觀鳥，是香港觀鳥會首位華人主席、現任榮譽會長，鳥類著作有觀鳥經典《香港及華南鳥類》。退休後他經常就氣候變化、愛護自然、開心人生等課題演講，同時是活躍的網誌作者，出版書籍有《天地變何處安心》及《天地不說話》，他又積極參與義務活動，範疇包括城鄉共融、自然保育、環境保護、教學、普及科學、童軍、紅十字會等。

详情	:	During the presentation, Mr Lam intends to prompt the audience to probe into the fundamentals of so-called "sustainable development". Together we would examine what it is that we want to "develop", what has happened to the concept since the 1970's, what the current status is, where we are heading towards and how we should view "development" now if we want to assure human existence, the sustenance of human society and the human spirit. 1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
