詳情	:	West Island Line is an extension of the existing MTR Island Line from Sheung Wan to Kennedy Town and the 3km alignment runs beneath the densely populated areas of Western District. Contract 704 was awarded to Gammon Nishimatsu WIL Joint Venture in Year 2010 which is the largest project of the West Island Line Extension. It comprises the construction of Sai Ying Pun and Hong Kong University Stations, an associated network of pedestrian adits with a total length of 3km, a twin running tunnel with a total length of 1.1km and a bridge connection from the shaft entrances to the University of Hong Kong. A large number of sustainable construction methods and engineering solutions are adopted to build this underground railway under such a densely populated area to minimise the impact on the neighbourhood, the traffic and the environment. The speaker will share with you more of the construction details of this project and surely this will be fantastic experience to take a close look at such challenging tunnelling project.
備註	:	Participants MUST wear their own safety shoes in the visit. A limited number of safety helmets and safety vests will be provided by the site, so participants are encouraged to bring their own if possible. Participants are also required to bring along their valid Safety Green Card if possible.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
