詳情	:	Dr. William Yu is Head of Climate Programme of WWF-Hong Kong. He is responsible for leading both public and business engagement programmes on Climate Change, including the Climateers Carbon Calculator, Low Carbon Manufacturing Programme and the Low-carbon Office Operation Programme. He also devises the policy advocacy work ranging from renewable energy, energy efficiency, green building to low carbon city. William wrote policy articles for different newspapers. He completed his PhD at the University of Cambridge, where he had opportunities to work with IPCC authors. He also lectured at the City University and as part of the EMBA courses for Chinese University in Hong Kong and acts as a referee for energy journals on climate and renewable energy articles. He is currently a member of the environmental campaign committee under the Environmental Bureau. William is on the sustainability panel of several key business corporations, a committee member of the Eco-village scheme proposed by the Professional Green Building Council and a member of The Chartered Institute of Marketing and Hong Kong Institute of Directors. In this seminar, Dr. Yu would share with us Updated impacts and consequences about global Climate Change; Hong Kong’s resources consumption in terms of Ecological Footprint and Carbon Footprint; Environment Impact brought by building and constructions activities; Paradigm shift in development concept – Social Return on Investment and Ideal building design / trend of green development; Green and Low-carbon lifestyle for sustainability

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
