詳情	:	Tommy Au is a land surveyor indulging himself in all forms of flying activities. He had worked in the Aerial Survey Unit of the Lands Department for almost 9 years and taken more than 100,000 aerial photos in different formats and at different altitudes as official survey records. Besides fixed-wing airplane and helicopter in the office hours, he also takes aerial photos by paraglider and radio control airplane in his spare time. Recently he has just published the first aerial photo album of Hong Kong with aerial photos all taken by small format digital camera installed in an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV). The rapid development of UAV in the past 10 years has proved that UAV is a very powerful tool in different applications. UAV could serve not only military purpose but also environmental monitoring, heritage preservation, hill fire detection, search and rescue, aerial survey and so on. After the successful flight of Aerosonde across Atlantic Ocean in 1998 and granting the airworthiness certificate to Global Hawk RQ-4 by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in 2003, UAV has been proved a reliable platform for conducting different types of tasks. Tommy would like to share his experience and views of the development of UAV with you in this CPD talk.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
