詳情	:	Environmental Division is one of the largest Divisions of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE). By the end of March of 2011, the membership of the Division is 4,803. The aim of the division is the advance the objectives of the Institution and more specially the Division is to promote the general advancement of science technology and practice of the Division and encourage and foster a spirit of friendly collaboration amongst its member and with members of similar institutions, societies or other professional bodies. Ir C F Lam is the immediate past chairman of HKIE Environmental Division who is working in Environmental Protection Department (“EPD”) responsible for enforcing pollution control laws and ordinance. He is also a part0time lecturer of the course “Executive Diploma in Green Management for Corporates” in HKU SPACE According to EPD’s website, “Legal controls on polluters have existed for several decades in Hong Kong, but it was not until the EPD was established in 1986 that these controls were strengthened and fully applied. There are now laws to deal with all types of air, noise, water and waste pollution for actives such as construction work, operating restaurants or factories, listening to loud music in your home, raising livestock driving a motor vehicle or exporting waste. These laws encourage operators not to pollute, and to enable offenders to be punished.” Ir Lam will give our members an overview of the legal controls on polluters by EPD and the Environmental Ordinance in Hong Kong including those related to the construction industry

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
