講師	:	Representatives of Environmental Consultant and Developer’s Quantity Surveyor Environmental Consultant Dr. Trevor Ng is a specialist in High Performance Sustainable Building Engineering. His chief role is to integrate low carbon concepts into every aspect of his projects. Specifically, he has developed a number of innovative strategies that are tailored for the hi-rise hi-density context of Hong Kong; these include “energy matching”, the “renewable energy cascade”, and also the design of zero carbon systems – daylight, natural ventilation, bio-diesel tri-generation. Dr. Ng is the author of a number of articles that analyzes the carbon and green building situation of Hong Kong with great clarity. Developer’s Quantity Surveyor Sr. Tam Wai Hung, Anthony is a professional quantity surveyor with nearly 10 years experience in quantity surveying and project cost control. He is a Building Environmental Assessment Method Professional (BEAM Pro). He is also a member of China Green Building Council and Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling. Sr. Tam is now working as a Quantity Surveyor of a property developer in Cost and Quality Section to strive for the balance between time, cost, and quality with proper internal control and to create a cost-and quality-minded atmosphere within his Group. Sr. Tam is a Sub-committee Member of CPD Sub-Committee and BIM Sub-Committee of Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Quantity Surveying Division).

詳情	:	(Registration starts at 9:10am) The Building Environmental Assessment Method (BEAM) provides building users with a single performance label that demonstrates the overall quality of a building, either a new or refurbished building or one that is already in use. A qualified BEAM building is safer, healthier, more comfortable, more functional and more efficient than a similar building that does not achieve the level of performance as prescribed in BEAM. It is a significant private sector initiative in Hong Kong to promote sustainable buildings, through enhancing the design, construction, commissioning, management, and operation and maintenance practices. This CPD event is divided into two parts. The first part will be presented by engineering designer of Zero Carbon Building and BEAM Plus Consultant and the second part will be presented by property developer’s QS and their sharing are outline below:- Part 1: Duties of BEAM Plus Consultant and Design of Zero Carbon Building Part 2: The Role of QS in BEAM Plus Certification Light meal refreshment will be provided in this CPD event.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
