講師	:	Sr Simon Kwok is the Chief Land Surveyor of the Lands Department, the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. He is the Senior Vice President of the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors, the Chairman of the Surveyors Registration Board and Member of the Hong Kong Board of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors. Sr Kwok is the Executive Committee member of the Chinese Society of Geodesy, Photogrammetry and Cartography. Sr Kwok has extensive experience in land surveying, photogrammetry, boundaries, mapping and satellite positioning. In the area of satellite positioning, he designed and set up the Hong Kong Satellite Positioning Reference Station Network. He led the survey of the Hong Kong 2000 GPS Control Network. He developed the Datum Transformation and Map Projection Parameters for linking the Hong Kong Geodetic Datum to the International Terrestrial Reference Frame. Sr Kwok is an internationally renowned land surveyor. He has actively participated in the activities of the United Nations Regional Cartographic Conference for Asia and the Pacific, and the International Federation of Surveyors.

詳情	:	Sr Kwok will talk about the satellite positioning infrastructure of Hong Kong. He will explain the operation of the system and the applications for supporting land management, construction, planning, transportation and logistics, location based services, disaster preparedness and response.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
