講師	:	Sr Joe K F Wu Sr Wu is a fellow member of HKIS with degrees and master degrees in mathematics, computer science, e-commerce, project management and business administration. He is now working in a local developer as cost and quality controller. He has strong interests in green building development, building information modelling, operational research, quantitative analysis, risk management, as well as nurturing students and surveyors.

詳情	:	Quantitative & scientific and operations research techniques have been applied extensively in areas such as manufacturing, transportation, construction, telecommunications, financial planning, health care, the military and the public services. Quantity Surveyors, with some trainings and the use of appropriate computer software, can apply these techniques for decision making including: linear regression for pro-rata rates, time series analysis for tender price index forecasting, multiple regression for consultancy fee estimating, critical path analysis and resource scheduling and linear programming for optimization of cost, benefit and rating in BEAM Plus green building certification. This CPD will briefly introduce the above quantitative & scientific and operations research techniques and some computer software for quantity surveying with knowledge and experience sharing.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
