Are the planning visions still in line with the expectations or actually behind the development pace? At the moment, what are the ambitions and visions of the construction industry towards Hong Kong 2030: Planning Vision and Strategy? How can we transform Hong Kong into a genuine livable city which is truly home to quality, green living environment under the guidance of sustainable development?

Incorporating healthy cities concepts  Prof. Sophia Chan
in future town planning Undersecretary for Food and Health, HKSAR
The Healthy Cities movement initiated by WHO epitomizes the spirit of making health an agenda for all sectors of society. Throughout the last decade, such concept has been well implemented in different districts under the leadership of community groups, health professionals and the goverment. Any forward-looking city planning should never exclude healthy cities considerations with regards building recreational areas, habitats, workplace and schools. With more population attracted to the city, the health and medical demands also become an indispensible aspect in city planning. In this section we will have professionals from the academics, medical professionals and government to  give more insight on incorporating healthy cities concepts in future town planning.
