He is an Architect, Authorised Person, Arbitrator, Mediator, Adjudicator, Expert Witness, and Dispute Resolution Advisor. He is also the Programme Leader for the HKCAC Construction Arbitration, Mediation, Adjudication and Expert Witness programmes. He advocates on specialising general ADR processes through customisation into the natures, context and needs of construction disputes for efficiency and effectiveness.

詳情	:	Construction adjudication as an Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) is coming into Hong Kong via legislation. Contractual application is not new in many parts of the world. The benefits of adjudication can arrive as soon as today when the construction industry starts understanding it, knowing how to tap onto all its goodies, and to avoid the unnecessarily miscarriage effects out of its inherent nature, purpose, features and characteristics. The dynamic equilibrium for the best results in adjudication as an ADR sets on the procedural efficiency vs rough justice. What is not? The seminar will go through the core features of construction adjudication to induce the interests of the audience to become construction adjudicators eventually as a step to welcome the forthcoming contractual and statutory adjudication as a definite part of life in the construction practice, and a step ahead to start considering helping others resolve their construction disputes in a more satisfactory manner.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
