講師	:	Mr. Falko Zueck Falko Zueck is a geotechnical engineer who has 10 years of experience in the steel sheet piling business. In 2001, Falko graduated from the Technical University of Darmstadt in Germany, where he obtained a master degree. After working for a ground-engineering consultant for several years, Falko joined the technical department of ArcelorMittal Sheet Piling in Luxemburg. He has been involved in the design and optimization of numerous mayor port projects and had profound knowledge in finite element simulations of retaining structures. In 2012, Falko was stationed in São Paulo to set up a local engineering department in South America. He promoted the use of steel sheet piles and provided technical assistance in countries where steel foundation solutions have not been commonly used. Currently, Falko is in charge of providing technical support to customers in UK, NAFTA, CHINA and ASEAN countries.

詳情	:	Steel sheet piles are long structural sections with a vertical interlocking system that creates a continuous wall. The wall is often used to retain either soil or water. The ability of a sheet pile section to perform is dependent upon its geometry and the soil that it is driven into. The speaker will introduce the use of steel sheet piles and share his experiences in the following areas: General including cost aspects of different types of steel sheet piles; Introduction tothe next generation of wide AZ-piles; Benefits of “Eurocode” design for steel sheet piles; Durability aspect of permanent steel structures; Problems encountered in using steel sheet piles in Hong Kong and Macau; and Cost elements to be considered in pricing steel sheet piles.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
