講師	:	Dr. Brenda Yip, Director of BK SURCO Limited PhD (HKU), MHKIS, MRICS, MCInstCES, MCIOB, MHKIE, MHKICM, RPE NEC Accredited Project Manager Dr. YIP has contributed to the construction industry and academia for 25 years. Brenda has gained substantial professional experience in building engineering and project management for numerous successful large scale public and private property developments. Brenda has held a Professoriate post at the Department of Real Estate and Construction at the University of Hong Kong. Her teaching experience includes diversified areas in construction management at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is also actively involved in research and knowledge transfer with comprehensive publication record in construction management and related fields. Dr. Yip’s first involvement on NEC was in 2012 when the Development Bureau invited BK SURCO for proposals for NEC contract management. Since then, on the basis of her project management experience and NEC studies, Dr. Yip has conducted numerous NEC training workshops and contract advisory services for clients such as ArchSD, CEDD and MTRC. Dr. Yip has conducted NEC contract management training workshops for more than 900 delegates. In recognition of her knowledge and expertise, Dr. Yip was accepted on and recently attended the NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract Project Manager Accreditation Programme in Hong Kong and has obtained her qualification of NEC3 Engineering and Construction Contract Accredited Project Manager to be included in the NEC register held by ICE.

詳情	:	The use of NEC3 Forms of Contract for the procurement of some public sector works has been adopted for a few years. This talk aims to reveal the challenge for delivering these projects, both in the provisions of the NEC contract, and also in the philosophy of collaboration, co- operation, openness and teamwork which is the essence of the spirit of mutual trust and co-operation, which are fundamental to the success of an NEC project.

Payment should be paid by cheque made payable to “Surveyors Services Ltd.” and sent to HKIS at Room 1205, 12/F, Wing On Centre, 111 Connaught Road Central, Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. Successful registration will be notified by email and attendance sheets will only be distributed to attendees immediately after the CPD talk. For members of HKIS and ICES attending for this CPD talk on 30 November 2015, the cheques paid by them will be returned when they attend the CPD talk.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
