講師	:	Mr. John Lam and Mr. Nathan Cheung of Jardine Lloyd Thompson Ltd. (“JLT”) Mr. John Lam – Divisional Director (Construction) of JLT” John is currently working in a specialist insurance advisory team of JLT advising contractors for their insurance arrangements. He started his current job in 1988 and his major job then was handling insurances for international contractors for the Airport Core Program. This involved in-depth analysis of contract conditions and the related insurance arrangements. He is a graduate of the Chinese University of HK and associated member of Chartered Insurance Institute of UK. He was part time lecturer at the Open University of Hong Kong. He is the insurance advisor to banks on City of Dreams, Wynn and Macau Studio City and as such is in a good position to share his experience with contract administrators on some of the insurance issues found in complicated contracts. Some of his involved famous projects are Airport Core Program, Western Harbour Crossing, Penny's Bay Reclamation and Container Terminal no. 8 and 9. Recently he is working in Macau for projects like Grand Lisboa, MGM and City of Dreams. Mr. Nathan Cheung – Assistant Director (Construction) of JLT Nathan is a civil engineering degree graduate of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. He has over 15 years insurance industry experience in broking and underwriting. Before joining JLT, he has worked as broker in HSBC Insurance Brokers (Asia-Pacific) Limited and Marsh (Hong Kong) Limited with main focus on Construction / Special Risks Insurance in the Construction / Real Estate Team. He is experienced in placing risks and providing advices to Real Estate Developers as well as Contractors.

Due to overwhelming response, the above two talks held on 24 March and 11 Aug 2015 were overbooked by members. In order to allow interested members to attend the same talk, the QSD and BSD are going to organize the same CPD talk (but in English) on 15 August 2016.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
