Sr Annie Chu, Sr Brandy Lai and Sr Cindia Hui

Sr Annie Chu is a qualified quantity surveyor with over 10 years’ experience in consultant and property developer as Cost & Quality Control Manager. She got an honour degree in surveying and is a member of The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (HKIS), Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), Hong Kong Institute of Building Information Modelling (HKIBIM) as well as a BEAM Professional and Certified Mediator.

Sr Brandy Lai is a qualified quantity surveyor with over 7 years’ experience in consultant and contractor. She is now working as Contract Manager of a contactor firm. She got an honour degree in surveying and is a member of the HKIS.

Sr Cindia Hui is a qualified quantity surveyor with over 10 years' experience in both consultant and contractor. She is now working as Assistant Director of a consultant firm and possesses an honour degree in surveying. Sr Hui is a member of the HKIS and is also a Registered Professional Surveyor (RPS(QS)).

The purpose of the QSD PQSL 2016 is to help QSD probationers and Associate members to enrich the basic knowledge in quantity surveying practice and prepare for the APC examinations. There shall be various series of PQSL events, namely Measurement, Procurement, Standard Form of Building Contract, Contract Administration and Specialization which cover various topics such as Measurement Techniques, Measurement of Building Works and Building Services Installations, Tendering, Report on Tenders, Variation and Post-Contract Cost Control, Payment Valuation and Final Accounts, Contractual Arrangement, Liquidated Damages and Extension of Time, Direct Loss and Expense Claims, Dispute Resolution, Liquidation and etc.

This event is recognised as the Divisional PQSL event and it accounts for 1.5 PQSL hours. Whether the event could be regarded as the PQSL event for other Division’s APC scheme or not shall be determined by the APC candidate’s respective Division. This event does not account for CPD hours.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

1.	I confirm that I fully understand and accept the risk of joining the above visit. Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
