講師	:	Sr Nelson Ho Sr Nelson Ho is an experienced Facility Manager with Qualified Building Surveyor and Chartered Project Management Surveyor status. Possessed over 28 years’ experience in Projects and Facilities Management, Sr Ho served in various renowned developers, major consulting firms and public organisations in Hong Kong. Sr Ho is active in the activities of the learned societies. He is the founding fellow member of the Hong Kong Institute of Facility Management and was the President in year 2009-2010. He also founded the Hong Kong Chapter of the buildingSmart International as the Founding Chairman in 2012 focusing on promotion of open protocol and application of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Hong Kong. Sr Ho ‘s team is a frequent award winner. Most recently, Mr Ho’s team at HKSTPC was the winner in the Maintenance and Repair Work (Client) category of the Building Surveyors Award 2015. Sr Ho’s team in HKSTPC had won the HKIFM EFMA Grand Award in 2012 & 2015, the HKIS QPFMA Grand Award in 2011, and winner of Sustainability Initiative of the RICS Hong Kong Property Award 2012. Moreover, in the 12 years’ sevice in HKAPA, Mr Ho’s team won the United Nations’ Cultural Award in Heritage in 2008 for their heritage campus at Bethanie. Sr Ho possesed extensive experience in managing comprehensive building services facilities during his work in Hong Kong Science Park and Hong Kong Academy for performing Arts. He had led the routine maintenance and upgrading projects of various building services facilities, and especially he had spearheaded the replacement of chiller plants in the HKAPA and InnoCentre for operation effectiveness and energy efficiency. His team had also obtained the first ISO 50001 Energy Management System in Hong Kong in 2011.

詳情	:	This talk will focus on a holistic introduction of building services facilities from the facilities management point of view. While the speaker will try to give a bird’s eye view to all the building services installations within a building, yet focus will be concentrated on the operation and maintenance of Electrical, MVAC and Fire services related installations.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
