10:00am	–	Briefing presentation of Central-Wan Chai Bypass (CWB) Project
		Background information of the CWB Overview of the CWB through the display models at Central Community Liaison Centre (CLC) Safety rules of a construction site
10:45am	–	Visit the construction site by boat trip/walk (Due to large extent of the areas of the project scope, the exact location for the visit would be subject to AECOM’s arrangement with consideration to the actual progress on site and weather condition.)
11:30am	–	Back to Central CLC
11:45am	–	Q&A Section
12:00noon	–	Dismiss at Central CLC

The project of Central - Wan Chai Bypass and Island Eastern Corridor Link (CWB) is a strategic road along the north shore of Hong Kong Island to alleviate the traffic congestion along the existing Gloucester Road - Harcourt Road - Connaught Road Central corridor. The scope of the project including but not limited to construction of tunnel, roads, administration building, ventilation buildings, ventilation shaft, earth retaining structures, electrical and mechanical works (E&M) and traffic control and surveillance system (TCSS), drainage works, landscaping work, etc. Upon project’s commissioning, it will only take about five minutes to travel from Central to Island Eastern Corridor at North Point.

Our members may take this valuable opportunity to have more understanding on infrastructure projects and associated E&M systems. Before the site visit, a brief presentation would be delivered by AECOM’s representatives, covering the areas of project scope, construction technology adopted (such as construction of cut-and-cover tunnel and diaphragm wall) and difficulties encountered, etc.

Latecomers will NOT be picked up.
The site visit will be cancelled if the red/black rainstorm warning signal is issued or the typhoon signal no. 3 or above is hoisted at and after 7:00am on the day of event.
Dress codes:

DO dress in light informal attire (e.g. jeans/pants).
DON’T wear shorts or dresses/skirts.
Please equip with your own safety shoes/boots.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
