Mr. B. T. Duan is a Technical Manager of Zhujiang Cement Plant. He is an expert in cement technology and has more than 20 years’ experience in cement recipe design and manufacturing control.

Ir Dr Yeung is a Technical Director of Score (Holdings) Ltd. He has more than 30 years’ experience in materials engineering focusing on cement, concrete, dry mortars and various waterproofing materials. Currently, he is Member of the Technical Committee for the Hong Kong Code of Practice for Structural Use of Concrete, Advisory Panel Member of the Department of Applied Physics & Materials Engineering of the City University of Hong Kong, Advisory Board Member of the HOKLAS for Construction Materials, Committee Member of Materials Division of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers, Fellow Member and Board Member of the Hong Kong Concrete Institute, Fellow Member and Board Member of the Hong Kong Institution of Certified Auditors and Fellow Member of the Institute of Quarrying.

Ir Prof. Wong Yuk-lung, DipCE, MEng, PhD, FHKIE, RPE(BUD, FRE, MAT), RI(E), FHKISC, FHKCI, FHKICA

Ir Prof. Wong has been an university academic for over twenty four years teaching/supervising students and conducting researches in the areas of concrete technology and repair, fire engineering, and earthquake engineering. He is the Deputy Department Head of Chu Hai College of Higher Education, and a part-time lecturer of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Currently, he is Fellow of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), Vice President of the Hong Kong Concrete Institute, Member of Technical Committee on the CoP for Mandatory Building Inspection Scheme of the Buildings Department, Registered Inspector, Committee Member of HKIE Building Division and HKIE Training Committee, Member of Editorial Committee of HKIE Transaction, and HOKLAS Technical Assessor.

Itinerary :

8:30 am	-	Gathering at Fu Tian Check Point, Shenzhen (深圳福田口岸)
8:45 am	-	Depart from Fu Tian and Brief for the Cement Plant Operation in Coach
10:45 am	-	Visit Limestone Quarry of Cement Plant
12:00 noon	-	Lunch
1:30 pm	-	Visit Cement Manufacturing Plant
2:30 pm	-	Q & A
3:00 pm	-	Depart from Factory in Guangzhou
5:00 pm	-	Dismiss at Fu Tian Check Point, Shenzhen

In this event, the speakers will present the whole manufacturing process of cement from its raw material to its end product. Members will be guided to visit the limestone quarry and cement manufacturing plant. The highlights in the visit to cement manufacturing factory include: homogenizing beds, kiln, grinding mills, dust collecting system, control room, laboratory (spectrometer & other equipment) and generator powered by residue heat from kiln (餘能發電).

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
