This event is jointly organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors (Quantity Surveying Division) and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (Building Division).

Itinerary:

8:30 am	-	Gathering at Fu Tian Check Point, Shenzhen (深圳福田口岸)
8:45 am	-	Depart from Fu Tian Check Point, Shenzhen and Briefing in Coach
10:00 am	-	Seminar on the Heat-Treated Glass
12:00 noon	-	Debriefing and Q&A
12:30 pm	-	Lunch
2:00 pm	-	Presentation
2:30 pm	-	Visit of the Heat-Treated Glass Production Factory
3:30 pm	-	Depart from Baoan Qu, Shenzhen
5:00 pm	-	Dismiss at Fu Tian Check Point, Shenzhen (深圳福田口岸)

Glass has become very popular building material in modern architecture, not only because glass allows lights to be transmitted into the building, but also provides ample choices of colors and reflection as well as different methods of fixing.

Participant would be able to view the production process for the manufacturing of heat-treated glass and other glass products, including IGU, laminated glass and feature glass product and etc. and also the quality assurance procedure.

Ir Dr Eric Lim has been invited to deliver a seminar on the theory of the heat-treated glass production in the technical visit. He will also share his experience on some common practices that could affect the quality of heat-treated glass products and as well as highlight the important issues that need to look for while monitoring heat soak process.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
