講師	:	Mr. Geoffrey Cotton, FAIQS Geoffrey Cotton is the Regional Director of Altus Group based in their Hong Kong Office. Geoffrey manages the operations of Altus Group in the SE Asia region including offices in China, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar. Altus Group are a publicly listed global Property Services Company based in Toronto, Canada employing 2500 people. Geoffrey’s professional background is Quantity Surveying and Cost Management although in the last 15 years Geoffrey has specialized in the management of design, procurement and delivery of large scale projects particularly in the hospitality Industry. Geoffrey has executed projects in Australia, New Zealand, UK, The Middle East, India and Europe giving him an excellent knowledge of the processes of construction from a global viewpoint. Geoffrey excels in providing Client focused services and manages the team throughout the project life cycle to ensure delivery and deliverables are successful. Geoffrey’s international background provides him with an excellent platform for managing Altus Page Kirkland’s offices within the region.

詳情	:	This is a joint CPD event with the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS). The talk is about how the process of planning, programming and procurement will be affecting the cost in a construction project. Nowadays, it is common to see the quantity surveyor taking up the role of Project Manager. The speaker will share his practical experience together with cases coming across to show how the above factors will have impact on the cost. Not only it is necessary for a project manager to make the job to be completed on time and in quality, it is also crucial to build it within budget and value for money too.
備註	:	Closing date: 10 April 2017 This is a joint CPD between the HKIS (QSD) & AIQS. All registrations with payments must be through HKIS office as per attached Reservation Form [for CPD on 12 April 2017].

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
