詳情	:	“Great things are done by a series of small things brought together”. Perhaps anchor is the smallest thing in the construction site, but it affects much as it is one of the most important components that comes with significant quantities in general. There are many different types of anchors and fasteners commonly used in the market such as torque controlled expansion anchors, displacement setting expansion anchors, rotation setting anchors, cast-in anchors, chemical anchors, friction based light duty anchors and powder/gas-actuated pins. How could we choose the right fastening system (anchorage system and fixing solution) with technical and cost satisfaction? Different kind of anchorage systems provide different features, advantages and benefits in technical basis such as limited anchor spacing, cracked or non-cracked concrete situation, fire rated or resistant to seismic, etc. They have different installation methods with different cost implication. Choosing the right anchor system could enhance the installation efficiency and eliminate the cost by preventing overdesign. In this talk, the speaker will share her experiences and product knowledge gained from her field over the years. She will introduce the range of post-installed anchors, cast-in anchors, concrete lifting system, self-drilling screws as well as gas actuated pins. Also, the brief comparison of installation method and hence the cost implication will be covered.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
