講師	:	Sr Dr Peter Ng, FAIQS, FHKIS, FRICS, CQS, RPS(QS) Sr Dr Ng is the Chairman and Founder of Beria consultants Limited (BCL) presently with offices in Hong Kong, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Macau, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Sydney. He has involved in the consultancy services not only in Hong Kong but also participated in various types of projects in Mainland China, Thailand, Myanmar and Australia. He obtained his Doctor in Philosophy in Business Administration in 2016 and specializing in the research on the speed of internationalization. He is now the Vice President of Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS) and also the Immediate Past President of International Chapter of AIQS. Sr Dr Ng has over 37 years of experience in the construction industry handling costing, quantity surveying, pre- and post-contract administration and project management for the Contractors, Public Transport Corporation and Consultant. He has extensive experience in the contract administration in various types of construction works including the real estate, civil works, power supply, mass transit railway projects, revitalization and institution projects.

詳情	:	This is a joint CPD event with the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS). In this talk, the speaker will share his experience on how to bring a QS consultant firm with only a dozen of people to now with about 160 staff in Hong Kong and also with offices in other cities and countries. He will elaborate the factors that you have to consider when you start your own consultancy firm and also talk on how to develop your business internationally with the view of the theory of " Born Global" and “Uppsala Model”.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
