詳情 :

The concepts and practices of built heritage conservation are relatively new to the construction scene in Hong Kong. While the ideas of conservation and preservation can be traced back to the mid-19th Century, it's only until recently that the survey and conservation of built heritage has gained recognition an integral part of the process of development projects

The seminar begins with an introduction of the contemporary practices in built heritage conservation in Hong Kong, in particular, the intracacies of preparing the Heritage Impact Assessment and the Conservation Management Plan. It then delves into the underlying theories and concepts that underpin these conservation standards and practices.

Nonetheless, the experienced heritage professional will highlight the multi-faceted challenges encounted by conservation practitioners and advocates within the unique social, legal, and economic context of Hong Kong.
