Visit to a CIMC MiC Manufacturing Plant in Xinhui (6 July 2019)
The HKSAR Government’s Development Bureau is promoting the use of modular integrated construction (MiC) as an alternate form of building construction in Hong Kong. As propagated, MiC is one of the most efficient and complete principles for improving construction productivity because it facilitates the complete offsite manufacture of modules made of multiple units, including internal finishes, fixtures, and fittings, before these units are transported for installation onsite in a Lego-like manner.
