Meeting between the HKIS, ACQS, DEVB, and ArchSD

On 11 September, HKIS Vice-President and Past QSD Chairman Sr Paul Wong, QSD Vice- Chairman Sr Amelia Fok, and I joined an online meeting with the Development Bureau (DevB), Architectural Services Department (ArchSD), and Association of Consultant Quantity Surveyors (ACQS).

Participants had fruitful discussions on a wide range of issues including modular integrated construction (MiC) applications, BIM development, New Engineering Contracts, and ArchSD’s recruitment of QS graduates and quantity surveyors.

During the meeting, I invited ArchSD to share its valuable experiences in MiC with QSD members and was heartened that ArchSD Deputy Director, Ms Winnie Ho, accepted the invitation. A webinar jointly organised by the HKIS, ACQS, and ArchSD on MiC is scheduled for 17 November 2020. Please stay tuned for further details.
