HKIS QSD Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2022
The HKIS QSD Scholarship Presentation Ceremony 2022 was successfully held on 6 July at the Surveyors’ Learning Centre. The QSD has been organising this event since 2011. The objective of setting up scholarships for students studying quantity surveying-related courses at local universities and the Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) is to nurture and encourage more young people to join the surveying profession. The award of scholarships also enhances the reputation of quantity surveying as a highlyvalued profession in the construction industry.

The QSD was pleased to have its President, Sr KK Chiu, deliver the opening speech and present the awards together with representatives of all scholarship sponsors and myself.

Thanks to the generous support from local quantity surveying firms and related companies, a record 20 scholarships were awarded this year to students for their outstanding performances in key quantity surveying subjects that will lead to bachelor's/associates degrees or higher diplomas.
