As the HKIS enters the last quarter of 2022 and the service of the 2021-2022 YSG Committee draws to a close, I express my sincere gratitude to the office bearers, committee members, coopted members, and student representatives for their continuous support of YSG throughout the year.

Unfortunately, the Covid-19 pandemic’s fifth wave has not allowed YSG to resume its normal activities, so its plans for this session could not be fully achieved. However, it managed to conduct several activities once the pandemic situation improved. At the beginning of the year, it hosted a blindfolded workshop in cooperation with Orbis, followed by a “行義抗疫: Let’s Do It” volunteer project launched by the Agency for Volunteer Service. Then came a dragon boat race during the Tuen Ng Festival and flag-selling event in which it cooperated with the SPCA and Neon Light Art Workshop. The YSG Committee devoted itself to brainstorming and organising a series of exciting events for members. Until social distancing measures are further relaxed, I am confident that the next committee will continue to serve members with innovative and amazing ideas!
