I shall attend the FIG Working Week 2012 during 6 to 10 May 2012 in Rome, Italy. The overall theme of the Working Week is “Knowing to manage the territory, protect the environment, evaluate the cultural heritage”. This overall theme addresses 3 main sub-themes of this FIG Working Week. In this working week, I shall present a paper: “Making Land for Development – Lessons Learnt”. I hope to share with other attendees the lessons we learnt from the development of Hong Kong.

 

I shall also be running for the post of “Commission 8 Chair Elect 2013-2014”. Commission 8 is on “Spatial Planning and Development”. I shall make a presentation about myself in the General Assembly on 6 May 2012 and the voting will take place in the General Assembly on 10 May 2012. I hope that we can enhance the status and recognition of our division through working closer with the FIG.

 

I have just been appointed as a member of the Commercial Properties Committee, Hong Kong Housing Authority for a period of 2 years from 1 April 2012 to 31 March 2014.
