Mr Teoh briefed us the progress of the arrangement of the PAQS and ICEC Congresses to be held from 23 to 27 July 2010 in Singapore. The theme of the PAQS Congress is "Sustainable Cost Management: Borderless Innovation". Details of the Congress are contained in http://www. paqs2010.com.sg. He encouraged our members to join the Congress as it will be a good opportunity to keep abreast of the updated development of quantity surveying services in sustainable development. In addition, we touched on the infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, the involvement of member countries in PAQS and ICEC and the various ways of possible co-operation between the HKIS and SISV. Both visitors were then invited to a luncheon reception hosted by the HKIS. Immediate Past President, Mr Francis Leung and Honorary Treasurer, Mr Lesly Lam, joined the greeting. We continued the discussions on those interesting topics. At the end, we agreed that in view of the future economic growth in Asia and for the benefit of the members, a closer working relationship amongst China, Hong Kong and Singapore should be explored.
