International Construction Measurement Standards Coalition’s Standards Setting Committee Meeting at the EU Commission in Brussels
After the first gathering at the International Monetary Fund’s headquarters in Washington, DC in June 2015, when 17 organisations agreed to form a coalition, The International Construction Measurement Standards Coalition (ICMSC) and over 30 professional and non-profit organisations from around the world, including the HKIS, have now joined to develop and implement international standards for benchmarking, measuring, and reporting construction project costs. The HKIS’s Sr TT Cheung of the QSD is one of this new organisation’s Trustees and Sr KC Tang of the QSD is a member of the Standards Setting Committee under the Coalition, as well as the Chairman of a sub-group under the Committee responsible for classifying building costs. (Another sub-group will oversee the classification of civil engineering costs.)
