Updates on the Registered Fire Engineer (RFE) Scheme

On 1 April, the Fire Expert Panel submitted supplementary comments to the Bills Committee via the Hon Tony Tse’s office. In the paper, the Panel reiterated that an open system that engages competent professionals to perform the prescribed fire risk assessments and fire installation certification tasks under the RFE Scheme is paramount. It will have positive economic impacts on the licencees if an ample supply of practitioners is available on the market.
