Speaker	:	Lawrence Tse Kin-kuen and representative from the Law Society of Hong Kong Mr. Tse was graduated from the Science Faculty of HKU in 1974 and obtained the Master of Public Administration of HKU in 1985. He also attended management training in Cambridge University in UK and Tsinghua University in Peking. He joined the ICAC Community Relations Department as a Commission Against Corruption Officer in 1974 and progressed throughout the years to head the Publicity Office in Headquarters and various regional offices. He is now Head of the ICAC Building Management Task Force.

Details	:	The Seminar on Integrity and Quality Building Management for HKIS, which is to be held at 1900 - 2100 hrs on 16 Dec (Thur) at the Surveyors' Learning Centre, aims to: - enhance the awareness of problems with illustrative cases relating to surveyors in building management; - enhance their knowledge on laws and regulations relating to building management and HKIS' Rules of Conduct; and - introduce corruption preventive measures and ICAC services. In this two-hour seminar, representative from the ICAC will introduce the corruption problems in building management in Hong Kong, illustrate the common problems surveyors would encounter through a video/case study and explain ICAC-related strategies and services regarding building management, while the speaker from the Law Society of Hong Kong will explain the Building Management Ordinance and its application. With the question-and-answer session at the end of the seminar, participants could well interact and share with the speakers and other participants on practical matters encountered in their daily work.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
