Details	:	Tony from EC Harris working on NEC advice and implementation. He has extensive experience on the use of various nec forms in UK. He was transferred from our London office in August 2010 and is now supporting our local NEC commissions. From the UK, Tony has been involved in the preparation of NEC contract documents. In HK, he is currently involved in several NEC3 projects as well as providing training workshops for various organisations. Allen is now working in EC Harris and have experience in on both building and engineering projects. He has solid experience in projects using different standard forms of contract including the NEC suite of contracts. Currently, he has been involved in several projects using NEC3. He has also provided a number of training workshops on NEC to both employers and contractors including public seminars. The seminar is to introduce the key aspects of the New Engineering Contract (NEC) suite of contracts, with a focus on the use of Term Service Contract (TSC). It will cover the background, history and philosophy of NEC, its structure and content and the selections of the contract from the NEC family as well as an introduction about the main and secondary options available for selection. The key differences between NEC contracts and traditional contracts will be introduced. The seminar will bring out the experience in the use of NEC by referring to some real life examples including its benefits and common issues.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
