The Workshop will include 4 renowned speakers sharing their expertise in the respective areas: 1) Mr. Ian Brownlee is a Town Planner and Managing Director of Masterplan Limited. As well as dealing with the planning process, he is also involved in processing projects through the buildings approval and lease modification process. He is joint author of "The User's Guide to the Town Planning Process: How the public can participate in the Hong Kong Planning System". He will share his views about the latest development in town planning control; 2) Mr Jim Lam, Senior Estate Surveyor of the Lands Department, will give an outline of the major aspects of development control under the lease conditions. He will also talk about how Buildings Department's new requirements are implemented under the Government Leases. 3) Mr. Freddie Hai, an experienced architect and a Senior Associate of Rocco Design Architects Limited, will share his insight about implications of some of the new Practice Notes issued by the Buildings Department; 4) Mr. Eric Ho, Senior Manager of Cheung Kong (Holdings) Ltd, will conclude the workshop with an "APC Questions and Answers" session.

The Workshop will focus on changes arising from recent measures recommended by the Study on "Building Design to Foster a Quality and Sustainable Built Environment". The profound professional experiences shared by the speakers should be of great interest to members and probationers. This seminar is an integral part of the APC Revision Program and candidates who intend to sit for the written assessment of the APC 2011 are advised to attend.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.
