Speaker	:	Mr. Thomas Tang, FHKIS, Senior Director of CB Ellis Richard Hong Kong, Chairman of the Board of Education & co-covenor of the of Education Committee of GP Division Thomas has over 20 years post-qualification experience in Hong Kong and in the PRC, specialising in valuation, land matters advisory and property sales/letting negotiation. Thomas's main engagement was with CB Richard Ellis, the HK Housing Authority and Hongkong Bank during his career development. Thomas has a wide range of capital and rental valuation experience, covering whole building, development site, shop, office, residential property, agricultural land and special property. He has special insights on property market dynamics. His articles commenting government's land and housing policies were published in the HKIS journal and in the Hong Kong Economic Journal.

Details	:	The speaker will give an outline of valuation as a mandatory question in the written APC, and will go through the principles behind the various methods of valuation as well as some practical issues for valuation surveyors in practice. Candidates who intend to sit for the coming APC are advised to attend. A package in the sum of HK$500 available to GP Students & Probationers for two valuation courses (morning of 13th Aug and afternoon of 3rd Sepr); three workshops (afternoon of 13th & 20th Aug and evening of 30th Aug) and Seminar on Property Development (morning of 20th Aug)

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
