Speaker:  Mr Kenneth Poon, FRICS, FHKIS, RCE (PRC), Managing Director of Davis Langdon & Seah China Limited.   He is a pioneer in China’s quantity surveying practice. He started working on projects in China in 1985, and participated in the change from planned economy to market economy in the PRC built environment.

In UK, many quantity surveying firms have branched out into project management services.  A close look would reveal that their project management team consists primarily of architects, engineers, building surveyors and professionals of many back-grounds in addition to their quantity surveying staff.

So can quantity surveyors become good Project Managers by themselves?  The speaker is the Managing Director of DLS Management, the project management arm of Davis Langdon & Seah, which has carried out project management services for numerous projects in China and Hong Kong.  He will share with you his experience in this new professional field.
