Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong SoHo is the first commercial high rise building in the world to achieve triple platinum of Green certificates: (1) BEAM Plus – New Building (the first BEAM Plus Platinum (Final) rating building), (2) LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environment Design) new construction by USGBC (US Green Building Council) & (3) BCA Green Mark Platinum Provisional. Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong SoHo is the flagship of Green Building with a number of innovative ideas on Energy Optimization Solutions (EOS) and sustainable practices. Being a hotel project obtaining Platinum grading under the BEAM Plus assessment , the design and construction of the building is “Green” concerned and oriented on sustainability, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere optimization, material and resources consideration, indoor environmental quality performance and control and design innovative. Under projection and comparing to the same scale hotel, overall energy saving and reduction of CO2 emission of the hotel is about 60% and 70% respectively. The speakers will share their experience on those green and innovative ideas adopted in this project such as the 18m vertical exterior green wall, green rooftop, rain water recycling system, automatic roller blind, motion sensor control in common area, etc. After the experience sharing section, it will be followed by a tour visit to the green roof, equipment rooms, guest rooms, podium and lobbies.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
