Details :

The demolition of Queen’s Pier has aroused the public concerns on protection of the heritage in Hong Kong.  In result, a Heritage Office was set up under Development Bureau to implement of conservation projects in Hong Kong, like revitalizing historic buildings through partnership; heritage impact assessment and providing economic incentives for preservation of privately-owned historic building.  It opens a lot of opportunities in private practice to take part in the conservation works.  In order to equip building surveyors with some basic knowledge in conservation works, two series of seminars will be arranged

 

1st Series:  Basic knowledge in heritage conservation and its opportunities

2nd Series:  Technical knowledge in Conservation Works (to be arranged in 1st Quarter of 2014)
