Following successful trails of the NEC in Hong Kong, various government departments have decided to use NEC3 contracts generally for more government contracts tendered in 2015/16. As with any contract form the success of their use is underpinned by a clear understanding of how they should be operated so as to maximise their benefits and avoid many of the pitfalls that a user unfamiliar with their content can fall into. These issues will be dealt with in this talk.
