Speaker : Sr Victor H. F. Chan (陳顯滬先生) , MTRC
Mr. Chan is currently General Manager - China Property of MTR Corporation Limited (MTRCL). He is responsible for overseeing all MTRCL property business outside of HK, primarily PRC major cities and International cities where MTRC runs railways. His responsibility includes viability studies, land acquisition, planning, scheme design, contract procurements, construction, leasing and sale of completed developments together with estate management.

Mr. Chan has over 20 years of experience in the application of the ‘Rail plus Property (R+P) model’ and has been involved in leading various large scale comprehensive developments under the R+P model in both Hong Kong and PRC.

Before joining MTRC in 1992, he was the Chief Estate Surveyor of the Lands Department with enriched experience in land policy, acquisition and administration matters.

Mr. Chan is a fellow member of the HKIS, a fellow Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Supervisory Board Member of the Hong Kong Housing Society. He has been a non-executive director of the Urban Renewal Authority between 2007 and 2013.

The Railway and Property model is one of the key strategies MTR Corporation uses to sustain its growth. It leads and enables the Corporation to deepen its presence in the Mainland by capturing the emerging rail and property opportunities in the PRC urbanization progamme. The event will provide insights into the model and share experience on its application to both Hong Kong and the Mainland.
