The current Adminstration has put housing as an importnat policy agenda.  One of the key issues is streamlining and increasing land supply via the revised regular government land sale programme. It is expected that increasing land supply from the government source will help increase the housing units supply, and hence stablise housing price. This research project, funded by the Public Policy Research scheme of the CPU,  examines the correlation between Government land supply and housing market in Hong Kong. Outcomes of this empirical analysis will be briefly explained in the seminar and implications for urban land and housing policies will be proposed.
