Speaker	:	Mr. FUNG Wai Chung Senior Engineer, MTR Corporation Limited Mr. FUNG is responsible for the liaison and public consultations of the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-HK Express Rail Link (Hong Kong Section) Project. He is a chartered builder and surveyor who has over 30 years experience in engineering practice with an emphasis on railway works. Mr. FUNG has been with MTR Corporation since 1992 and he has worked on the Kowloon Southern Link, Ma On Shan Railway, Tseung Kwan O Extension and the Lantau and Airport Railway Projects. Mr. Simon HUNG Liaison Engineer I, MTR Corporation Limited Mr. HUNG has over 30 years of local and overseas experience in civil engineering. He is currently with the Project Liaison Team engaging stakeholders on project related issues/expectations in liaison with government departments on the XRL Project.

Details	:	Itinerary (Please see the attached location map): 09:15 am – Gathering and Registration at MTR Austin Station Visitor Centre reception 09:30 am – Presentation of the XRL Project 10:10 am – Visit to XRL Terminus model room 10:30 am – View the XRL Austin Terminus Site (walk from MTR Austin Station to Kowloon Station via the Jordan Road Footbridge) 11:30 am – Dismiss at MTR Austin Station (The scheduled time may be changed so as to suit the actual conditions on the date of the visit.) (Successful registration will receive details of the visit.) The Hong Kong Section of the Express Rail Link runs from the terminus in West Kowloon, heading north to the Shenzhen/Hong Kong Boundary, where it connects with the Mainland Section. The Terminus will be located to the north of the West Kowloon Cultural District and will be linked to Austin Station and Kowloon Station by footbridges and subways. Before viewing the XRL Austin Terminus site, the speakers will brief the following aspects:- XRL Project background, construction techniques and challenges; Short videos on tunneling machine and terminus design; Contractual arrangement and Procedures for dealing with claims/disputes.
Remarks	:	FULL Closing Date: 23 May 2015 Online registration is NOT accepted for this CPD event. Please fill in the attached Declaration Form together with Standard Reservation Form for this CPD event. First-come-first-served with duly completed Standard Reservation Form, Declaration Form and payment. Please equip with your own non-slip shoes. Latecomers will NOT be picked up.

1.	The registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
2.	A registration number will be generated for each application. The registration number is unique and non-transferrable. Members cannot proceed to payment if they do not apply the CPD event and obtain the registration number through the HKIS website.
3.	Payment can be made by cheque or by Credit Card (Shanghai Commercial Bank Ltd. / American Express). Cheques should be made payable to “SURVEYORS SERVICES LTD.”. A separate cheque or Credit Card payment instruction form is required for each event/ application. You should write down the registration number and HKIS membership number at the back of your cheque. The HKIS Secretariat will update the payment status and your application will be confirm when HKIS Secretariat receive your payment.
4.	Payment by PayPal is also acceptable. Please register in our web site before the closing date for each event. Please be reminded that if you cannot settle the payment within 7 days from the date the HKIS Secretariat accepted your registration, your registration number will be invalid and your application will be rejected. Your name will not be included in the registration list and you cannot attend the concerned CPD event. (Not applicable for site visit / social event / joint event with other organisation)
5.	An official receipt which must be presented at the event, will be available for downloading from the "CPD Profile" under Members Corners when payment is received.
6.	Incomplete or wrongly completed registration will not be processed.
7.	In the event a Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or Black Rainstorm Warning is hoisted, the event will be postponed and a new arrangement will be announced. Should the aforesaid warnings be lowered 4 hours before the event, the event will proceed as normal.
8.	If you have not received any reply from HKIS Secretariat within 7 days of the event, you may call the Secretariat at 2526 3679 to check the progress of your registration.
9.	The HKIS reserves the right of final decision and interpretation in the case of any disputes.

Under no circumstances shall The Hong Kong Institute of Surveyors ("HKIS"), their staff or agents be held liable for the consequence of any accidents whether or not they are caused by the negligence of the HKIS, their staff and/or agents.
2.	Members participating in the above visit shall be in good health condition.
3.	While the HKIS has arranged Group Personal Accident insurance for members joining the above visit, members who have been accepted for joining the above visit can consider procuring an appropriate insurance policy to cover their own risks before attending the event.
4.	Claims related to COVID-19 and/or pandemics are excluded under the insurance policy procured by the HKIS.
