Sr Lo has over 30 years’ quantity surveying experience.

He migrated to Thailand in 1989 and set up the current office there.

Over the years, he has witnessed various major incidents in Thailand including 3 military coups, a few riots and blockages, the great flood and above all, the start of the Asian financial crisis in 1997.

He also established an office in Myanmar in 2013.

In addition, he has been involved in projects in various developing countries such as Cambodia, Laos, Bangladesh, etc.

The talk is intended to provide an opportunity to share the experiences of a quantity surveyor practising in Thailand, where quantity surveying is not widely recognized by the public and trained in academic institutions.  Hopefully it will stimulate thoughts on how to make explorations in a new frontier and adapt or develop quantity surveying practice and documentation in an alien environment.
